Berry Alloys Unit-2 located at Kadambera, Jharkhand, is moving steadily towards becoming a fully integrated steel and ferro alloys manufacturing facility. Developed with a capital investment of approximately ₹1000 Crore, this project includes 2 x 1000 TPD DRI Plants, 2 x 45 MW Captive Power Plant supported by 2 x 138 TPH Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB) and a 95 TPH CFBC Boiler, 2 x 30 MVA Submerged Arc Furnaces with a 40 MT AOD Converter, an 800 CUM Oxygen Plant, and 2 x 4 MVA LCFC Units.
The First unit of 1000 TPD DRI Plant has been successfully lighted up and is scheduled to commence commercial production from 17th August 2026
The first 45 MW Captive Power Plant, integrated with a 138 TPH Waste Heat Recovery Boiler, is expected to commence power generation in September 2026.
The remaining facilities are also in the final stages of construction and commissioning, with all major units targeted to be operational by November 2026.
Beyond its industrial significance, the project has made a meaningful contribution to the regional economy by generating substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities for local villagers and nearby communities. The project has not only created jobs during construction and commissioning but will also continue to support long-term employment, skill development, and business opportunities in the region.
