HIGH CARBON FERRO MANGANESE
High-Carbon Ferro Manganese is a lumpy material with a metallic appearance, which becomes covered in a dark layer of oxides during storage
- It is primarily an alloy of iron and manganese with carbon contents
- Ferro manganese is used as a deoxidizer for steel
- It is an essential alloy that helps convert iron into steel. It contains a high content of manganese and used in steel products wherein silicon content needs to be controlled at low levels
- It helps to improve tensile strength, workability, toughness, hardness and abrasion resistance in steel
- It is mainly used in the flat steel, manganese-rich steel and stainless steel products
